Not quite finished. Just the brake servo and master to go in and brake bleed.

I've just finished replacing all the front swivel joints and cv joints.

interesting you leave the starter, distributor and oil filter on yet take the rad off.  I think with remote gearboxes, you need to tip the engine back

There were three of us on hand to lower it in so i had two guys on either side of the engine whilst I operated the crane.

the rad was removed just to make it a bit easier to manoeuvre and so i could get the engine mount bolts in.

There was no need to remove anything else.

Cheers

Hi John.

Yep, just accident damage on this one. Should be wrapped up by the end of the week.

Cheers

Ben

Ouch! Maybe you had better check the brakes as well!

And well done on getting to 9000 posts. An amazing achievement and dedication to the cause.

Regards, Mark

Hi all.

Not been able to do much to this mini for a few weeks now. Well I've actually not worked on any mini.

Whilst welding the new panels onto the BRG Cooper, the bonnet came down and cut my head open.

Ended up having to rush to the hospital to have it all patched up.

Unfortunately during triage, a rather serious underlying medical issue that I didnt know about was discovered.

I was quickly deemed a medical emergency and that was that.

After being admitted to hospital for several days, things are looking up and I'm back to work at last but on light duties for now.

As silly as it sounds, I really think this mini may have saved my life!!

Anyway, here is the front end fully fitted, prepped ,primed and sealed ready to paint

I shall be painting it this afternoon and then reassembly can go ahead tomorrow.

Cheers

Ben

Now that is a post worth posting! Sorry to hear of the accident, but then as you say, glad that it uncovered something that needed to be tended to sooner rather then later.
Think that you deft deserve a couple of days off over Christmas to rest and take it easy ☃️🎄🎁
