Yes, I am happy to see the old lad again and getting some TLC on the IOW.  I miss walking out in the garage and not seeing him.  Be home soon once he's been spruced up for 2022!

Yep  the new workshop is much better and it's certainly nice to have a dedicated restoration bay, especially with outside views. Be nice to have the doors open in the nicer weather.

 

There is also now a dedicated enclosed strip and rebuild bay too which will be very nice to work in away from the dust of the bodyshop.

More done on the Cooper s.

 

I've flatted the paint on the roof and cleaned up the areas in the gutters that were flaky/rusty.

 

 

And then into the booth for primer.

 

 

And then back out for a flat back

 

 

As well as the quarters

 

 

 

I also did the slam panel and edges of the door frames where the doors had rubbed which aren't pictured.

 

Then back to the booth for a fresh coat of snowberry white

The next step was to get the rest of the paintwork done.

 

So I masked up accordingly 

 

 

 

 

And painted it

 

 

 

 

And then back out this morning for reassembly

I've finished the flatting an polishing on the Cooper s and completed the reassembly.

 

 

 

And then fitted a lovely set of aquajets to the fresh wheels

 

 

 

 

I've done a few other bits and bobs including a new link pipe between the fuel tanks.

 

All that's left now is pump up the hydro, polish the roof and mot.
