We also carried on putting the subframes together

 

We have to get a few bolts and brake lines fitted too, but a great day on it today

To be honest nothing has happened, kids have been off for 2 weeks, and plenty of 12 hour shifts into the mix have scuppered any plans I had.

At least it's given the stonechip and applejack chance to go hard

It has long been said that Jimmy can be a bit of a dosy ********, but this time it's actually true. I've bought the wrong brake master cylinder

 

Bought ages ago from minispares and haven't actually looked at it till today. Balls

 

Any way, we had a bit of time on it today. R kid rattle canned the engine bay and we used the old fuel line as a template to shape the new one. Good to see my time in plumbing school wasn't wasted

 

 

 

Still waiting for the new brake lines to turn up, should be here any day, and when they turn up we can fit the front to rear one, roll it over and get the subframes on. Can't wait

Back on it again this evening. Got some filler on the plug welds on the valance

 

Got it sanded back, cleaned up and primed the panel

 

R kid finished the subframe brake lines

 

And take a look at the underneath because it's the last time you'll see it

 

Big roll over tomorrow so should be a rolling shell by teatime
