Hi all, my mini is painted rover charcoal and I have never seen another one this colour - anyone know why?

Your car will be painted in anthracite. LQW. Fair amount out there.

the paint code on the plate says it's rover charcoal, this is what the paint shop supplied when I resprayed the front and it's a good match with the rest of the car? being a Japanese inport I guess the year could have been mixed up?

My mini is not so much sharcoal as a matt grey, but its been wrapped rather than pained.  pic is on my avatar :)

We had a charcoal, ours was a cross over from the rsp to the spi,people used to take pictures of it at shows even though it was fairly standard, I was walking back to it at The Doncaster mini show in about 2001 and a guy was taking pictures so I got chatting to him, he said they were really rare, 1 of 400 I think? I've got a corgi one somewhere too.

For clarity I can't recall the paint code but it was not anthracite as I purchased a genuine charcoal touch up from Rover, they definitely exist!

LVD charcoal black I think.

I recall one of my Corgi mainstream minis being Charcoal, with checquered roof - IIRC Spi Era - 95 or so spec.

That's it, came in after the black rsp became a regular model then changed to anthracite just after, ours had the spi Cooper seats but with more cream fabric than the later normal spi ones.
I think my charcoal corgi has chequered bonnet stripes.
