Whoop whoop she went on her first run today, iv not done 10 miles haha.

the exhaust is very very low where the car has been lowered by so much, so ill have to look at that. It was scraping when even on the flat at some points

So ill have a look at that tomorrow, also i found i have an oil leak coming from the timing cover crank seal.

So ill get that sorted once i can get a gasket and seal...

But apart from that everything is good


Oh yea and oh my god it is soooo NOISY.

My lil sis said shes not getting in it again as it gave her a head ache after 2 mins

ill be taking it to get tuned up tomorrow, but i still have a few jobs left to do.

Adjust clutch very slightly
Fit raising brackets
Sort out wiring for wipers
Tap out thermostat and fit mate bolt
Sort out exhaust
Fit seam and gasket to timing chain cover

LOL it was chucking it down with rain, but i still went out with no wipers lol. ill get them sorted though, i just wanted to have a run in it, and i couldnt stop smilling

Looking good tom!! I saw you in wincheap on my way home from work about 4.30ish going past pine and things, sounds great! I was in a white van though not my mini so you would'nt of seen me.

yea thats the place, well i pulled in there on the way back is that huge carpark, that has a big garden cantre and a car a couple of car showrooms.

If you leave canterbury going that way then my house is up there

I was soo exited to have it running, a bit gutted about the timing cover seal leaking, but i think i should have enough room to get the cover off as i have a removable front lol.

Then ill have to do something about the exhaust hitting, i think i might have to rais the mini up a bit as there was only about 3 inch clearance for the floor pans... maby ill got for a 3 finger gap instead of 1 1/2, but then again that wont give much space still ill also turn all the clamps sideways so the u part isnt pointing down, giving a bit more clearance.

I met up with Tom a bit later than usual as I was out clubbing with my friends after graduating yesterday with an Upper Second Class Honours.

We went to pick up Kate and see if Rolling Snot could endure a longer run out and see how it would survive city traffic.

Lack of windscreen wipers in the rain and an exhaust that scraped on everything were the only troubles.

It sounded great and grabbed the attension of everyone we drove past and made people laugh and smile with the noise of the clackson.

Yea well i wanted to get teh engien in and get the mini finished in advance, so i can find any problems in advance before we go to germini. and ill also be able to run it in that way

Also helps how iv finished school now, so i have loads of time on my hands

Just hope i can sort the small problems soon and hope that no other problems come up lol

Cant wait for BH2N now

Mini sounds awesome Tom. You drove past my parents shop whilst I was sitting behind the counter and I heard this sweet sounding car, looked up and it was a tiny green thing. Didnt have much time to get a second peep but I did and surely enough it was you.
