Yea cheers shoudl do the job perfect for the time, but then again my pots have been enlarged, so im not sure if the locating rings will work, but if that is the case then ill mount the manifold on my spare head and modify the tabs that hold the manifold to the head, to make sure it sits right

Where is he located? Jammy was talking about taking his minus somewhere to get tuned up, so if he gets his engine built up ill go there... unless ACDodd is localish.

JUST FOUND OUT MY MINI IS IN MINIMAG CANT WAIT TO GO OUT AND BUY IT

Not got much done today apart from drive the mini lol, got the leccy fan wired in, but it doesnt seem to do much lol. Ordered a 2core rad yesterday so ill stick that in before i go to germany.

I only noticed you made the bonnet etc.. untill the other day when i went back about 10 pages, i was thinking, why are people asking about making carbon fiber bonnets and stuff

Just read the last 30 pages! You've been really busy! lol The Mini looks great, definitely worthy of its mag feature, must be really satisfying after all the work you've put in.

by the way, just rang Andy at MLM, he's booked till the end of August now, just about to ring Bill Richards, I've got next Tuesday off and hoping he can can fit me in for a tune and suspension set up.

Cheers mate, needs another re-spray really though as etch primer wasnt used on the front so its started to com away from the gel coat, and where the wheel stick out an im out in the countryside there are loads of stone chips down the sides

But atleast its driving not so ill sort that out once funds allow.

Also been trying to sort out the linkage for the carbs, but i dont think im going to have time to get it done before i do on holiday on friday, so i doubt ill have the carbs on in time now just waiting on a reducer pipe for the exhaust and when that comes ill try and get the exhaust on before we go though ill be silid mounting that i think as the exhaust i currently have hangs really low with the rubber mount, but it is up as high as i will go and where it is rubber mounted it moves about loads on bumps an knockes like mad on the subframe lol.

Had a little play with my current carb with the colourtune yesterday and it seems to be running a bit better now

Nope i wont be going to SMD im leaving tonight to go to Newquay, so i dont be on here for a week, then ill come back for a couple of days and head off on the BH2N run

Recived the 2 core rad today, so im just about to pop out and fit that, also i recived the pipe reducer and got that fitted to the bike backbox, lets just say it needed some gentel persuasion with a big hammer, but it got on in the end lol, so i clamped that up and sheered the bolt, so i drilled and tapped the bolt and fitted a high grade metal bolt and its on nice and tight now

its going to take a bit of work to get it to fit right so i wont bother trying to fit that today, so ill get that on when i get back from newquay, so it doesnt look like im going to have time to fit the twin carbs , atleast the mini will nearly be sorted haha.

Well i got the 2core rad fitted and it seeme to bring down the overall sort of average temp, before when using the standard 3core rad the temp would read like this:



And then the sort of average with the 2 core rad was:



So it did make a bit of difference not loads and loads, but enough to make me feel safe lol.

Well the mini made it to the Germany, round the ring 7 times an back home

I should have some pictures of me on the track in a few days when they are emailed through to me.

I took the mini round about 3 or 4 times then thought that i should time myself to see what sort of times i was getting, but this was a bad bad idea and wont be doing it again lol. whilst timing myself i managed to have the mini going completely sideways on the first bend, but manage to catch that, then on the 2nd bend just had no chance and spun the mini and in doing this it stalled in the racing line, luckly i was one of the last out of the day so nothing came flying roun the bend. So i finished the lap off and when getting back to the carpark the people parked next to me told me they had pictures of me facing the wrong way up the track lol, so they said they would email them to me, so ill get them posted up when they come through lol. But overall i had an amazing time and will defonately be going next year.
