Not too shabby TBF. Running speed was 7.5 ish, and cooling down/walking speed was 4.5 MPH. Started at 2.5% gradient, rising to 4%. Anyone got pics of their progress/ achievements on the treadmill? Not bad for a once fat/bloated teenager a couple of years ago.

Gym Progress. (Pic Of Treadmill Not Me, Thankfully).

I need a bigger water bottle now. I'm currently only using a multi pack type. Fancy a Lucozade 1L bottle. I've also noticed the HydraCoach bottles @ £24 ish.

I've really thought about joining a gym.
After shifting positions at work, i'm sat down a bit more than I'm used to, i fear the budda belly!
I used to do quite a lot of skateboarding and cycled everywhere I went, before I started driving. So when some of the guys from work invited me cycling up Cannock Chase, I dug out my bike which I havent riden since Uni. Well it turns out im so very unfit and having to play catch up after turning up late didnt work in my favour. I've noticed my legs just don't have the strength I used to have in them. When I anually go snowboarding (which was near enough the only strenious excersize I was doing), my knees ache after a long day where they once woulldn't when I skateboarded.
I managed to will myself into doing a bit more cycling, tying to scrape any sort of stamina. A few weekends back I did manage 24 miles along the Canals which I'm pleased with, untill it got dark and the poor condition paths made it a little sketchy and forced me to turn around.
But its a bit of a bad time of year to try starting up again, after I had ridden along the canals for that distance, i think I was covered in more mud than was on the tow paths.

I was thinking of getting a bike for work, but would need to be in a couple of months, because I take a work colleague to/from work ATM.

Not sure I could bare that, starting work at 6.30am and being about 10 miles away along country roads each day

I start at 08:30 and finish at 17:30. 6 miles roughly.

I can't be arsed with going to a gym, but for over the last year or so I've tried swimming for an hour or until I just get too cold, twice a week. I'm still not that great, as I still lack the stamina (only been swimming for about the same amount of time) and sometimes my lower back regularly burses witch is rather annoying, but I'm finding ways round it. I'm also surprised at just how much weight I'm gaining (or sore I am the next morning) and certainty notice if I stop for a week or two.
The only down sides are the tight shorts (I could do without the extra drag from a pair of parachute pants) and smelling of chlorine. But then I quite like the fact is nice to cool off during the summer and be nice and warm in the winter with a hot free shower after.
I had though at bout using my bike in-between or when I'm not able to go, but other than just riding around the town/local area. I'd have to drive to somewhere and pay extortionate parking just to make it worth riding round somewhere.

You should join a local gym, not a rubbish one though. Take part in a couple of classes per week, It makes the whole experience far more enjoyable. I do prefer swimming on my own in a quiet environment, my reason for swimming on Sunday. Loosing weight is, relatively, easy compared to gaining muscle. I need to do much more weightlifting to try and build my upper body.
No smoking, drinking, eat healthy food ,and attend 3 or more gym classes per week, and I'm sure you'll loose weight fairly quickly.
