The South African Wolseley 1000 'Mini' had the Hornet front but didn't have the extended Elf/Hornet rear because the tooling was not made for it in South Africa. They waited for the disused UK tooling which went to them in 1969 after the Elf and Hornet were discontinued in the UK (when the Clubman was launched). But by then, the Wolseley 1000 had been discontinued in SA because of product rationalization and so they then created the Mk 3 hybrid in ebay link below instead....!!

Some pics of a nice unrestored Mk1 version in SA in Mk1 Forum link below.
456 were produced and 16 survivors were recorded on a Register for them in SA at the last count.
