Hi guys,

 

I'm repainting my mini light/sky blue which I absolutely love. I think a black interior will match really well, but the existing red upholstery is still in good condition and it'd be a bit of a pity to re-wrap the good seats and door cards.

 

Does anyone have pictures of light blue minis with red interior, so that I can convince myself to keep the interior as it is?

i thnk so too. and that must be the reason why I can't find any pics of this combi on the net haha. i guess i'll take this opportunity to get me a pair of cobra classic buckets in black, and just re-wrap the rear seat and door cards. :/

it will depend on what shade of red your seats are .... Dark blood red / maroon will look awesome where letterbox red will look horrid

definitely a Marmite situation - personally I like it, although would have to be the right shade of red... as per jpw1275 I think an oxblood or dark maroon red would work not a bright red.

thanks for your thoughts guys. come to think of it I do agree dark maroon would contrast nicely with the light blue. unfortunately mine's bright red. looks awesome with the current silver grey body, but I've never liked silver..

Mine is teal blue and my seats are going avocado green :0)

Some Mk1 mini's were speedwell blue with a red interior. I really like this combination! Here is a pic I found on the net.
