Thanks, I see you are in the cumbria mini club, Im from Lockerbie and my parents live in Dumfries, Maybe you could keep an eye out for anything selling within the club as it would be nice not to travel the length of the country

I HAVE A NEW MINI!!!!!!

 

Just collected this 1993 Italian job 1275cc mini from Birmingham. 

 

So so happy to have a mini again!

 

A few things will be changing and it needs a few wee jobs to be happy. Needed a Rocker gasket as the last one had been put on really badly, It was spraying oil all over the bay. The radiator needs to be cleaned out or replaced as its full of gunk which caused some over heating problems on the drive up to Scotland. Brake lights needed to be reconnected. 

 

Apart from that its just cosmetic mods I will be doing. Might make a thread if i have time. What do you guys think?

(don't want to take the shine off the good news, but rocker recently removed/overheating/gunk in rad sort of points to head gasket problems?)

Great news. The best special edition in my opinion but I am a bit biased.

I'd start by getting a compression test done, just in case you have head gasket issues with the rocker cover being removed and there being gunk in the rad. Still, a nice find!!
