I'm really not sure why anyone with a boosted engine would run a dizzy. I understand that people need to stop the spend somewhere, but if your going to the expense of a boosted engine, esp if your paying for a full rebuild, it just seems like a waste to shove a dizzy back in.
The fuel and timing makes such a big difference to keeping the engine I one piece on a boosted engine, I'm not sure you can do without greater control of the ignition.

Just imo.

Agreed, I swapped over in the very early 90's to an after market ECU much better I also fitted coil per plug which was featured in one of the 1998 Mini world magazine.
