Rev Counter Issues

I'm going to try the original rev counter first and see if it behaves or not. Coil over here are relatively cheap. I'll keep u posted

Ok, tried the original rev counter tonight, also bounced not as bad as the smiths but was only a short round the block, so going to order a new coil and hopefully that will fix it

I have a dlb102 on there at the moment could I fit a dlb110 instead as im replacing it?

When I looked up both parts they say that they are ballast coils so yes you could use either.

 

However, over the past few years there have been many complaints about coils marked "Lucas".  Many people on the board have switched to Intermotor branded coils (see Mini Spares part GCL217) .  I have no first-hand experience with either coil as an aftermarket replacement.  Consider my comments hearsay and perhaps Google/search for more threads on the topic of coil reliability.
