I'm still using my original Challenge Xtreme grinder I bought back when I was still in school. It's not particularly refined, but it was cheap and it's still cutting and grinding things over 5 years later!

I use B&Q's cheap and cheerful. Killed one the other needs new brushes other than that my other three are working very well and thrashing then relentlessly. Thats now three full restos in.

Oh and the boys on Project Binky use them as well.

I got my black and decker grinder from the clearance aisle in Tesco for £7.50 3 years ago, including 5 discs as well. At that price I don't care if it packs in. Just wish I bought the other that was with it

I've got a Makita and a Wickes own brand one (rebranded Draper), saves me changing discs. The Makitas come up on offer for £50 quite often

I have a makita 18 volt cordless one - brilliant but does wear the batteries out quick!

I also use makita for my electric one- and would recommend them for value and they last for ever!

Take a look on this place- I T S they are a great company - I buy all my gear from them!

Out of interest what was your Milwaukee one like- always liked the look of their tools- but seem a bit pricey??!!

ive got a Milwaukee 3/8 impact gun as well as the grinder , it is very good stuff in all fairness 5 year warranty on the tool and 3 years on the battery's , i brought the impact gun as a kit then brought the grinder body separate . we have just recently brought 2 milwaukee grinders and 2 milwaukee drills at work and most people are impressed with them

many years ago, we used to use B&Q budget grinders  however they generally burnt out after 6 months of abuse.  The final straw came when one seized and through a disc, knocking my mates cap off his head.  We decided to buy better and went for bosch ones (2 of).  One is still with us and at least 12 years old and the other was stolen but replaced with a dewalt one which must be at least 8 years old now.  Both have given perfect service, albeit not as heavily used now.

I like the makita or Bosch professional stuff.

I've got a cheap silver line one from toolstation at the moment because I needed one on a Saturday afternoon..... It got me out the stuck, but......What a heap of sh!t! Seriously, don't even think about cheapies.

Black and Decker x 3. All bought on Amazon. One for cutting, one for grinding and one with a flapper disc or wire brush depending on what i,m at. Same spanners fit them all so no rummaging about looking for a different one. I also use a Die grinder that i bought out of screwfix for fiddly jobs.

I had one of these, very good for the money (£15?) I used it loads it probably spent most of it life with a twisted knot wire brush which finally killed the bearings. Even then it still worked but the noise was un bearable! Only got rid of it yesterday and got a Bosch to replace it which is much quieter and nicer to use but I would say that it probably isn't quite as powerful as the challenge one was and was over twice the price.
