This is just so utterly wrong! ....Everyday hacks OK, but not classic cars.

Anyone thought of contacting Prince Charles, the Royal family had their fair share of Minis & this is the motoring equivalent of pulling down St Pauls Cathedral to build one of those nice new glass monoliths that are all the rage in London now.

Bit late as this all happened back in 2009......

I remember browsing through the full list a few years ago...

It's incredible what people scrapped for such a small amount (£2000) and it goes to show how little some people know about the cars that they own - so many cars in the list are worth well over £2000. All the cars scrapped had to have an MOT, so you can assume that they are all in good condition - there ain't many road worthy MOT'ed classics that are worth under the £2000 mark.

Sad sad sad... lets hope this partition to allow the cars to be used for parts gets listened to and passed.

The new cars they bought would have lost more than 2k as soon as the dealer handed them the keys anyway! A 2009 Kia Picanto ain't worth jack now.

I'm not too far from the site and have been to have a peek a few times. On my last visit I got chatting to one of the nearby locals where I parked up, also a mini owner! And he said that the cars were being taken away and there's nothing worth while there now.

All the minis, Escort RS Turbo, S13/S14's. What a waste! :(
