Off side is furthest side to the curb.

Near side is nearest side to curb. That is if you are in the UK.

Off side and near side are both relative to the curb, which ever side of the road you drive on, which is why you should use RH and LH when talking about parts,. especially where the reader could be driving on either side of the road.

The clue is...."That is if you are in the UK"

It is a UK term universally used by the motor trade from garages to insurance companies. which I guess is why he was quoted as O/S/R.

Anyway it is a proven fact that not that many people are aware of or understand the offside rule ;-)

If it's a push me pull you surely it wouldn't have radius arms? Wouldn't it have 2 front subbies instead?

I will ask Dr Doolittle about this but, i am sure it did not have radius arms or 2 front subbies, it just had two front legs at the back and two back legs at the front..... and i am not drunk.

Most referees and assistants and probably all Premier League strikers from what I see! (And before anyone comments, yes I have been an active FA Referee! Not any more .. )
