A set of spanners you're having a laugh !!

What are you expecting out of a reply like this? You've bought a Mini, they require significant effort to keep running. That effort can either be your own for which you require some basic tools or someone else's for which you need money (and quite a lot of it).

This very thread is proof that even if you only want to do very simple jobs you still require some basic tools (and there's nothing wrong with that, not everyone likes tinkering with cars many just like driving them).  Posting that there's no point in buying any because you don't know how to use them seems like a contradiction - you're already trying to do some work and finding that you need tools.

What I expected was information a possible spanner sizes that's all

Only owned the car two weeks Saturday so barely had the chance to familiarize myself with my car lol

Right then, some simply advise - get yourself some 3/8ths Imperial sockets, a set of Imperial spanners and some good screwdrivers. You'll need them.

I have one of these from halfords 'Halfords 65 Piece Socket Set 1/4" 3/8"' I can't link from on my phone, it does 100% of the small to medium jobs on a mini no problem, you will need bigger tools for the bigger job! No spanners included in this set so might be worth paying a little extra for one with everything! It will also cut your work time by over half with an organised set!

As said above, a basic socket and spanner set are essential tools. You can pick up mixed metric & imperial sets from lots of places. I bought a Silverline spanner set from Amazon a few years ago, probably every size you'll ever need in metric and AF and cost £15. Get a set of decent screwdrivers and pliers, plus a multimeter for electrical testing, and that'll cover most issues you're likely to encounter.

To those who posted I'm going to take said advice and get myself a socket said in spite of my comments, it will be needed possibly from a video I saw showing you how to do an oil change.

Video advises 24mm socket for drain plug correct or not ? Mines a 1988 Mini for your info.

It would be 15/16" for the proper fit.
