Ouch! How did they manage to crash it? Is that the airbag deployed also? Have they not offered to pay for the damage? I take it you/test driver didn't have a temporary insurance to cover test drive?
Can you give us a few more details about the car please?

I assume its been written off by the insurance then in which case would it not be a good idea to mention the category of writeoff?

Basically the person that was driving had only 3rd party only so not categories.
The car it's self is a S plate mpi mot till April 2017

Ouch, what a shame.
Pity you can't apply the ornament shop adage of 'breakages must be paid for!' on that basis the test pilot would have bought themselves a mini and the damage would be there problem.
A rather expensive lesson here for us all, to make sure that adequate insurance cover is in place before allowing test drives....

You will be better to ask for a valuation first then go from there so will move this to valuations.

Looks to have major damage ! Airbag deployed ! Has it damaged the engine?

That front is bent under into the floor. That's big work. The front centre damage looks from the pictures to have been pushed back far enough to impact the engine.
Just from what you've posted I would say 800-1000 for spares. If it still drives 1500.
