I assume they are this set? Did the transaction all go through because that seems really high!

Yes that's them.
However, it was pointed out that they are more two sets of two rather than one set of four, two were made in 77 and two in 79. Look at them closely and you can see the differences quite clearly, the 79 ones have more square edges than the more rounded look on the 77's
I'm glad someone pointed this out so that the information is out there for people to know what to look for. I didn't notice and I own a set!

Yes they were this set and the sale was legit.
The gentleman who brought them paid and was very happy.

Looking at the bidding history a 0 feedback user kept pushing them up. Suppose they're worth what someone is willing to pay.... But nearly £2500!!

The 0 feedback bidder you speak of was a bidder from Japan who contacted me prior to bidding and ask about postage.

I didn't know about this at the time of sale either. Only when it was pointed out afterwards.

A very good price for my favourite wheels!

They went for even more than I thought, but if you've got a 1275 GT they make a car.

I didn't notice and I own a set!

I didn't notice either and I have more than I'd care to admit too!

Very interesting on the variations in years, I'd noticed the different date stamps but the design change I'd missed! I'd guess it's because the later wheels had machined faces, and maybe the earlier ones didn't.
