ok which bit is stuck, is it the inside cable wire from the speedo drive cable or are you trying to get the whole spindle out of the gearbox?
if its just the cable that has snapped, try a pair of long nose pliers, if it doesn't come out then. push it down inside the spindle, there is no way it can come out...
there have been a lot of posts about changing speedo cables, ive just donemine today, and i found it easiest to remove the engine side cover with the breather pipe on it, gives you so much room to gert your hand down and change the cable with out struggling..
hope this helps..

No need to remove any thing, well I don’t as I have skinny arms
If it is the speed cable to gearbox, what I tend to do is remove the 7/16” bolt that attaches the plate to the gear box and remove the cable and plate as one, remove old cable and fix on new, smear the plate with some sealant and refit to gearbox.
If you find it doesn’t want to go back properly, pull the Speedo drive gear out and line you with the end of the cable and carefully slot back in as one.
