Hallo there

 

read a few posts about this but couldn't find the info I was looking for

(not for the MPI as it has a different thread I believe but for other minis up to 96 as far as I can tell)

 

does anyone know the thread and pitch of the oil pressure switch -

 

I am thinking to replace with and electronic sensor as the standard one doesn't do much more than just plug the hole ;)

Most are 1/8 NPT, however, if the block came from a car that originally had a mechanical gauge fitted (like a Cooper S for example) then it will have a parallel thread, of which off hand, I'm not 100% sure of the size of.

EDIT: I got confused, this is for the oil temp sender, I'll leave it here for future searches though
