I have notice some MPI's have a larger rear number plate. I think this looks really good. Does someone have one of these? I know the length is the same but what is the height please?

Thanks

There are only two sizes of plate available and legal, one is the long narrow and the other is the short square one.

You can buy surround plates in a veriety of finishes.

Pictures explain better what you are meaning

I know what you're talking about. Not just MPIs who have them though.. try rover..? Or any other place you can buy plates and ask around :D

TC's Hatter (95 Spi) had one, and they are obviously very legal! We got the car from Miniman in Knowle and all his cars are re-sold with the extra deep plate so give him a ring.

The larger rear number plate should be considered "direct from Rover dealership". The British Open classic has one, as does my Knightsbridge. This is the large size plate:

As you can see it fills the majority of the rear number plate area.

Look here:
http://www.aplates.c...latebuilder.asp

You'll see 20.5" x 4.5" is 'standard' but they can do them at 5", 5.5" or 6" deep.

You mean you want it to fill the plate aperture on the bootlid? I've got one like that, most places can do one for you. Even Halfords I think, you need to ask for a Jag sized plate.
