Hello Everyone,
Ive got a Rover Mini Equinox (1997) SPI.
Occasionally, when driving the car, the engine starts wobbling (like its about to stall), and the only way of preventing it from stalling, is to give the engine high revs.
I think the Vaccum Hoses (see Pic) have splits, or shattered. (this has happened before, but am unsure if its the same issue).
An example of when this hapened was yesterday:
I was driving at around 35mph, accelerated to 40mph (nothing significant about this number, car does this at all speeds), and the whole car started to shake (obviously from the engine?) and didnt lose speed, nor gain speed for around 5-6 seconds (again, high revs needed to maintain), and then the engine "picks back up" and continues as normal (power comes back really quickly).
Does this sound like the vaccum hoses are to blame?
Also, can anyone tell me where they are on my car, so i can check! (not that mechanically minded, so be gentle!)
Thanks for the help.
