Hi All
It looks like I need a new engine for my baby. I dont have access to an engine crane so wonder if any body can help me with some twit proof instructions on dropping the engine/ front subframe out from underneath ? Its a 1984 mini mk iv with ( currently ) an a series 998 engine. Its on 8.4 inch discs.
I do have a big sealey 2 ton trolley jack, axle stands etc. Im going to get the engine delivered on a pallett.

basically yes, if you dont have enough lift, put a couple of boxes each side
But it's a damb site easier with an engine hoist, had you thought of hiring one ?
