Shortly after getting the car home I dropped it off with Matt at Obsidian detailing

http://www.obsidiandetailing.com/

Matt took an awesome paint job and took it to another level, I have no connection to Matt other than a satisfied customer, I hope you can see the level of his work from the photos (Remember the car looked great before it went it).

Before in the light booth,

Since then the car has been tucked up for the winter..

Until last week when it was time to come out of hibernation.

I spent a few hours cleaning the wheels (Well only got two completed)

I didn't know the standard sportspack wheels were made by Speedline

No laurels or coach lines..?

They are all bought and ready to go on, just getting the paint 100% first. They do make me nervous, I'm 100% about original and have refurbished the car to be as close to original as I can get. However I do like clean and the decals make this harder.

Wow - shiny!

Thanks, I spent about 7 hours on the two wheels, the rest of the car will also get some attention and I will photo that too.

Nice. The proper Laurels should be individual parts, not on a clear background

I'll go upstairs and check what I have, I'm guessing they are repros so you might have just started a search for something challenging to find!

The laurels are still in packaging but are the minispares ones correct or not?

I bought some yesterday and they are not separate (unless I'm not doing something right) I had some work on my car about 4 years ago by the guy behind minispares. When he replaced the laurels for me, they were separate parts

The originals are printed on clear vinyl. Aftermarket laurels are all separate parts. Took me years to track down replacements. All 'replacements' are the the separate type and are usually on most restorations - usually marked down on concourse competitions.

Useful to know they're selling the right ones! Makes it easier when companies go the extra effort 😎

Thanks, the paint was put down by L&L Body shop, the do a fantastic job and are both into minis. Matt at Obsidian Detailing has then taken the paint to another level.
