I would love to get her to a RR however there is no such thing on the Shetland Isles, in fact the nearest one is in Thurso on the very northern tip of Scotland which means two ferry trips for me to get there (one of which includes an overnight stay) and a possible bill of £360! Then the cost of the RR on top, and food and lager! I will have to do a lot of studying on the subject and pay close attention to what the AFR gauge etc is telling me instead.

Get that lazy Roger to make you a treadmill ;D

Problem solved.  Engine was being starved of fuel.  I took it to here http://www.btecracing.co.uk/ and they kept it for a couple of days, ended up fitting a AAM needle and tuning.  It’s transformed the car.  I even hit 75mph on the way back (private roads of course ;)

£96 all in - amazing job :)

Good to hear you've got it sorted, mine was the same as she couldn't get enough fuel whilst cruising. A weekend reducing the dia's of needles, writing down each station dia after each rub with some 600, a run watching the AFR and how she drove, back in the garage and do it all again until she drove smoothly and the AFR gauge showed numbers that was in the matched what folk have suggested, made an arse of the first one I tried too! She's driving a lot better now but could probably still do with improvement, a RR session would be a good move for me too!
