Had another practice at welding, and it's getting better, my main problem is that the mask keeps misting up. Is there anything that can be used to stop this apart from not breathing. Being able to see what I'm doing would be a great help. Thanks

Adjust it to be a less close fit? You could try the diver's trick of spit on the inside of the glass.

You might be on to something there Ethel. Just had a look at my lid and there's 3 different settings for how close you have it to your snout. That half inch has made all the differenceAdjust it to be a less close fit? You could try the diver's trick of spit on the inside of the glass.

toothpaste or washing up liquid always worked(toothpaste is the better divers trick) smear both on and rub in, then buff dry.

Thanks for the tip. I found that taking the protective film off the screen made a massive difference. Only had the mask a year, saw the corner peeling off yesterday ha ha

Another diver's trick is to rub a cut piece of raw potato on the glass. Worth a try!
