Checked the fuses, they should be fine.

Not sure what to check next, if I try to start it there is no power at all at the wires.

So is it a broken relay or something?

How can I check the relay?

"How can I check the relay?"-----------How did you check the fuses?

Follow the lines on the electric schematic and find out at which device / fuse / relay , current goes in and is missing where to go out.

If this will not be succesfull google for electric garages in your area.

DEAD FUEL PUMP - CONTROLS IN A MINI SPI  1993 - HOW I FOUND THE DEFECT

1 Batterie Voltage oK? Minimum 12.5

2 Crash switch corroded? Sticks? Connections oK

3 Connect fuel pump with wires from battery - runs oK? Then pump oK

4 Fuse nbr 3 in the original 4-fuse box ok? In any case change against new one.

5 Are old fuse box and connections clean? No corrosion? Take it off for control

6 Connection  body loom to motor loom behind instrument panel ok?

7 Motor loom connection to main loom left side from airfilter at firewall oK?

8 MAP and fuel trap clean?

9 ECU taken off and tried over night on centralheating (humidity and gasoline)

10 Earth on right side at firewall for ECU cleaned and provided clean metal contact

11 Control earth for fuelpump in the back

12 Control earth engine

13 Control CKP . Controlled by ECU via blue/lilac and white/ blue cable

14 Control ignition voltage - via brown/white cable from Relay Box to fuse

15 Further check --ECU ---> white/pink earth to relay box main relay

Batterie----> Fuse (brown) if 12 Volt to main Relay_

From relay box cable brown/pink to injection and ignition coil

Good luck and clean your fuse box and control the relays and flying fuses.

Checked them with an Ohm meter and also checked with a Volt meter.

I'll have another look at the schematics, but they are quite hard to understand.

A Voltmeter is good, a simple checklight would be easier and is enough for old cars with simple electronic. For newer cars there are special checklights availeable.

So i thinkyou have the schematic for a spi 92-96.

On page 447 you see there is no interruption between battery and the 3 N lines on the right side where the "c" is.One of these lines go directly to the relaybox on your brake booster. If you check here with a checklight, it should burn.Even without ignition on.

On the same picture there is the ignition switch Nr. 21 if you turn ignition on, line fuse Nr 7 (white cable ) must have current and your checklight should burn here as well.(it ends at "g")

For only about 10 seconds now,the relay Nr 97 on page 460 will work and the line fuse Nr 4 must have current and the fuel pump Nr 103 should work over this time.

You can easily open the relaybox and have a look to the schematic there. Its a very seldom fault that this box is damaged but sometimes the socket and pins to it are coroded.

Found the problem, the relay wasn't working because of a bad earth (the black-purple wire).

Thanks for all the advice!
