I flew from KC to Baltimore to buy mine, then drove it home - 1100 miles one way! You really get to know your new car when you do that!
Most of my collection were rescued from Interstate, probably similar mileage away - and that's part of the fun!

I flew from Bristol to Glasgow to pick up a car a few years ago - interesting drive back, first time I'd been to Scotland.

Almost 400 miles, that's a pretty good drive in a classic Mini!
