i took the grill off you can see better that way feed it under then up between the gearbox and the subby then down between the front valance and the subby then just clip it to itself, rember to keep the tension whn towing!

Your limited to lashing it round the front sub frame I’m afraid, only probs with that is you do stand a very good chance of damaging something.

If you need a toe eye, you can go down to a local b&q or hardware place and buy one or more bolts with a ring on the end, the ones I got from b&q came as a pack of 4 fence bolts and used 17mm nuts so were more than beefy enough.
Only thing was they were an open hook and so need welding slightly, just in case the loop was to ever stretch and deform causing the rope to fall off etc, while towing.

All I did then was remove the 1/2" nut bolt that goes through the front valance, through the tear drop mount and into the sub frame and replaced with the new bolt after I cut it down to a more suitable length, nut wound on first to set distance to poke out of the valance, then a big penny washer, poked through the subframe and then a washer and the other nut on the other end.

Been fine so far although I don't plan on using them that often.

I used to loop it over the tie bar oumts and then create a triangle with the rope so that you spread the load across the car! I now have 2 towing eyes and put the rope through both!

I used 3 exhast clamps to make a chain... then put my towing arm onto the last clamp, and used that as a towing "eye"

This will be wasted now since you were towing at 5.30am this morning, but for future reference; If you chuck the tow rope under your front panel and around the suframe front cross member then the rope will deform your front panel, I know, I'll be repairing mine soon. As MMJ says, use the tie-bars that go from the hubs to the front cross member, and use both.
