Welcome to tmf.
Be careful about undersealing your car before you deal with the rust (tinworm), otherwise you'll just be sealing it in so it can work its wicked ways unseen until later. Can you keep your car under cover? Doesn't have to be a garage.

yeah im fully aware of the rust spreading - ive got some mixed messages about undersealing so i dont know what the best thing to do is to be honest. So u suggest keeping it under a cover when its cold yeah? thanks for the tip.

if you keep it outside then buy an outdoor car cover, they are advertised in the back of the mags! but if you put it on make sure the car isn't wet or it'll just keep the damp in and worse still, the inside of the cover will get wet!!

Also, as for the underside, get it up on axle stands or a ramp and take a good look, treat any rust and then put some stone chip on it you can get this from any paint store! that'll help for protection! :proud:

And finally, join your local club, there will be people there with the knowledge, tools and knowhow to help you with anything!
