Lord almighty! I'm the first one to suggest using a blow torch on pretty much any bolt that doesn't move with the first shake of a spanner but wouldn't go near a brake fitting with one. Just going to hope you're removing the nut because the system's dry to begin with.

Ok finally got it out after hearing it with a torch. Finished my brake job but still a little squishy, I'll finish the job tomorrow. Took the car for the first test drive ever! Love the car now but the clutch went out half way through the test drive..... anyone know what would cause this?

WOW a torch on a brake fitting!! Your braver than me. Hydraulic fluid, even vapours are the most flammable thing in a car. Glad it worked out. Echo the calipers. I bought a wee digital set at £9, easy read and converts imperial / metric at touch of a button. Well worth it.

Agreed I cut and drained the brake line to the best of my ability. All worked out with no lost eyebrows

From the photo, I think it might be a PDWA and imperial rather than the more common, metric, fam7821.

You'll be wanting new pipes if the unions are chewed up anyway. cut it so you can tap on a tight fitting socket.
