Hi - I have just joined up today having what must be seen as a mid-late life crisis! Ok I'm 60 ! My first car in 1974 was a 1965 850 mini and to this date I have owned 8 classic minis but never a Cooper or the wholly grail an S ! A 1275 GT was the limit having a works marina 1300 head with twin SU's - the only problem was it still had a 1275 mechanical fuel pump so starved of petrol at 70 but was it quick ! Lol. Anyway in an attempt to regain lost childhood today I put a deposit on a 1968 Cooper that has been restored some 8 years ago but you can guess it's not cheap ! Wow I should have bought a few years ago as I am sure you are all saying - the car is in Basildon and I am looking to purchase the services of someone to check it out for me - any suggestions ?
