Powder coating will provide better durability against oil and grease over time. It's good with heat, but NOT manifolds. The flywheel housing can be powder coated, however make sure the mating surfaces are not coated, you'll need them to have them flat to allow for the tolerances in the build. Personally I spray things like the engine, flywheel housing, wok and gearbox case.

anything black i use simoniz engine enamel stuff us great :)

Wouldn't create much of a thermal barrier, if any. It's the whole powdercoating an intercooler debate all over again. It was proven it didn't make any difference due to the thickness involved.

Whichever you choose, make sure that the prep is spot on or neither will last well

I have gearbox cases powder costed and etc make sure whoever is doing it actual know what there doing e.g. Don't want where the gaskets powder coated and etc and take time to mask it up even down to putting bungs in the threads

Expensive but will reduce heat transfer into the cabin.
