Something like this would be a great start

And then as has already been said a decent set of imperial ratchet  spanners!

A black set! Might have to accidentally buy another set so I can have one at home and one at work, that's a fantastic buy.

I recommend a decent set of tools, crap tools will just frustrate the hell out of you.
Become a TMF paid member, and make use of the Minispares discount.......you'll be needing parts!
A well stocked beer fridge and good radio with ya favourite tunes.
And most of all have fun, they are wonderful cars, sometimes frustrating to work on, but all worth it when your hurtling through a windy section of your favourite road......grin from ear to ear.

Oh yeah, and the people on here are probably the nicest and most knowledgeable you'll ever hope to meet, use their years of experience, all are happy to help.
At least one person will have done the job your having trouble doing, and have a handy tip to stop the hair pulling, tool throwing, beer skulking tantrum that's should to eventuate.
