I use bulldog clips for mine, one on either side...

Hooks is good, but might not fit over a rear plate without chipping your paint. Minis is made o' steel for magnets.

something like this is perfect. should be no problem with paint chips... unless your trying to put them on in the style of a funfair hoop game !!!!
