You might need to get your immobiliser re-coded to recognise the engine ECU. I think you need to get it on the analyser if it's been without power for that long. Does the starter motor turn?

Really? Yep, it turns over fine and the fuel pump can be heard

Well it's not the immobiliser then. It can't just stop working, something's up. If you get it analysed then you'll know straight away what's wrong, that's the great thing with injection. It's better than guessing at parts to replace as in theory there's nothing wrong with this car. Make sure all the connectors are firmly fitted to everything and there are no damaged wires anywhere, look all round the engine.

reset the ECU?

turn the ignition to pos 2 and press the throttle 10 times then turn off and attempt to start if battery has been off.

you can by pass the immo Dan, coding to match car can be done for about £25 at a place near me.
