Hello all,

My 93MY Cooper SPI has developed engine and gearbox troubles, after one to many mini adventures (LOL).

So I am now looking for a replacement engine and box.

My question is do I have to use a SPI engine or can I fit a carburettor engine and use the existing injection system?

Any comments will be greatfully received.

I believe you can use a carb engine with your injection gubbins.

might need to use the spi cam shaft though
