Hi, im restoring my clubman GT, i have various front subframes lying around. Could you tell me if an Automatic engine front subframe from a metro is the same size as a normal Clubman GT front subframe, i have been comparing the two and i dont seem to be able to find any differences? Most measurements seem to match. Im sure ive heard different somewhere!
I have also purchased a Piper Camshaft, 285 Scatter, my dad got it for me but can anyone explain to me what the scatter bit is about?
Regards Jason

If the Metro the subframe came out of was a 1 litre (998) or 1.3 (1275) then the subframe will be the same as your original GT (as long as you have the big tower bolts instead of twin bolts). The automatic has the engine mounts drilled further forward? Nope, sorry, thats the MPi suby, the automatic subframe has a larger 'opening' to clear the auto box/torque convertor.
Oh, and the Scatter cam... Read this.
