Seen some seats for sale in the 'For Sale' forum, I've asked the owner if the seats will tip forward once fitted to allow for the kids to get in the rear of the car.

The owner doesn't know as he's never fit them in his mini.

Anyone here give me the answer.

CLICK HERE to see the seats I'm on about.

cheers,
Charlie.

i'm going with no. it will have a little box subframe on the bottom of it so unless thats made to tilt i would put money on them not tilting forward.

i had a pair of new cobra monaco s seats which look larger than them and i put mini subframes straight onto the bottom and they would tilt forward as long as the chair was in the most forward position. i.e to get in or out the driver had to slide his chair forward first then tilt the seat

it may tilt a little but most peopel I know with these fitted have tried and it hits the roof very quickly and doesn't give you much room to get through to the back!

They will tilt forward because of the design of the mounts on the crossmember on the mini, the question is if they'll tilt forward enough... they look quite small so I'd agree with cardboard, you'll have to slide the seat forward first

why not just use the 1 bucket seat. i mean if you got passengers or sporgs in the car your going to drive a littler better than ripping down a back road. allows the car to still be usabe and be a little mini (no pun) weekend racer.

They look pretty much the same as cobra clubmans. In which case, yes they will tilt. The cobra's (and I assume mambas) come with a subframe that fits to the original mini mounting points. They are higher than standard seats but they do tilt a little. If you slide them forward then there is enough room to squeeze through (if you are thin). As you're planning on having kids in the back, they should be alright getting in and out. Dont take this as complete truth, because I only have experience of my cousins cobras, not mambas.

They will tilt of you have the tilting subframe but they will almost immediately come up against the roof. this will NOT allow anyone to get in the back. i have tried and made this mistake already.

And if you intend to use harnesses with them (which they are designed for) then you can't use the rear seats anyway.
