I'm new to alloy wheels so any help would be appreciated. Would a set of Classic Mini 13" Compomotive Alloys -size 13 x 5.5 fit directly onto my 91 Cooper without having to do any bodywork mods,
thanx

Unlikely.
probably need to cut out some arch for when the wheel is on full lock, and arches might be needed to cover the possible offset of the new wheels.

No the arches will need cutting at the front to allow full lock. Had this with a friend of mines mini.
you will probably need arches to cover the wheel to make them legal, this depends on the tyres you use.
eg. i have 165 60 12 tyres on my 12 x 5 wheels and i had to get larger arches. even though some 12x 5 fit without any arches at all.
Get w&P arches they look the badgers nadgers

yes you WILL need to cut the arches but in my opinion, don't fit them, they will look naff and spoil your handling.
is the cooper a carb or injection.
if it's a carb, check out the link below my signature.
