I recently purchased a 2000w copper s mpi and having overheating issues due to the fact it has been sitting doing nothing for a few years (mucky water)+heats don't work. So I am overhauling the full water system, and looking for some advice on a couple of questions.
Which water pump on market would give me the largest flow rate (move the most water around)?
Which water pump would you say is the best on the market ?

I have been looking at a GWP188EVO with a large impeller any views on this would be great
Cheers Neil

Just go for factory standard.... to much flow isnt always good as it moves it through the rad to fast..

give everything a real good flush out.

and clean or renew the temp sensor

you have a different issue causing the overheating but that pump is fine.

I also go for the Mini spares EVO pumps, they seem well made and I've never had a problem. Heater works very quickly when I've fitted one but that may be down to fresh coolant etc.

Quick question, I have just bought the same evo pump from minispares and it feels slightly tight to turn. obviously I know there is friction to overcome from seals etc but just wondered what your experiences were?

Is this normal? It's stiff enough so that it won't free-wheel at all when I give it a flick round, though I can turn it fairly easily by hand.

It just feels like it'll be taking some engine effort to turn the thing even before its in the coolant

probably just me being daft?!
