My speedo stopped working suddenly. When i got it off i found that it had snapped, so like you do I ordered a new one (48" one). I fitted the new one pretty easily :dontgetit: and it was working for about a week but now it's stopped again. I've not checked anything again except I've stuck my hand under the dash to make sure it hadn't fallen off the speedo, no biscuit. Gonna have a look this weekend...but is there anything specific that could have gone wrong? Something that could have caused both problems?

Ta :D*

Or squirrels. There has been underground murmerings of a squirrel badger alliance, which is quite a frightening prospect.

It could just be that when you fitted the new calbe it was twisted or not seated properly, so a week of use has weakened it and eventually caused it to snap?

Don't say that! We've had some badgers smash a hole in the fences both sides of our back garden recently! :dontgetit:

It couldn't be...

How can you make sure that it's seated properly?
