[DJC MINI]

Hi,

 

I hope you can help me on this.

 

I'm collecting my 2000 Mini Cooper Sport in a few weeks. When I went to look at the car I tried the lights while the engine was running, and I noticed a quick drop in revs and then everything was normal again.

 

Is this normal, due to the extra load on the engine.

yes that's normal for any car. Possible more noticeable in minis as they are fairly noisy
