But do do what you require there are all the normal tools and implements such as various shapes and sizes of saw (air, electric, manual), cold chisels (again at least air or manual), rotary burrs, powerfiles, plasma cutters, gas axe etc. It is just a case of what you can get hold of and get into the space.
Some people swear by burrs and small cutting discs in a Dremel for awkward jobs but they can be slow. Not too expensive to try.

Fair enough, if you will NEVER be carrying rear seat passengers. But really, how much weight do you save? You could achieve more by polishing the rough skin off all the castings, including the engine block, inside and out, brake drums and radius arms, which if done correctly also improves both unsprung mass and fatigue strength.

But if you do all of those things there's every point in doing it. All small savings add up and the mounts are fairly heavy.
I will NEVER have rear passengers but thanks for checking
