Side Exit Or Centre Exhaust

Hi all what do you prefer a side exit or a centre exit exhaust .

depends, road stuff with a boot floor side exhaust, if its more racey with a flat boot floor then you can tuck the silencer up enough that a centre exhaust works IMO. I particularly llike the cars Ive seen with a centre hole in the valance for the exhaust.

Side is a better tuned length.

Centre now, as there bolted to the car and cant fall off like side exits

I have side on mine but prefer the look of the single centre exits

Side exit is a must in an estate I find. the flat back sucks all the fumes forward otherwise.

When I had mine fitted at maniflow he suggested the side one which I had

Side exhaust for me. I personally prefer the look, but also as it is longer it will perform better than a centre exit exhaust, which is technically too short. As mentioned before the tuned length is better with a side exit.

Loved my centre exit play mini, but had lower ground clearance than the side exit play mini i swapped over. Lowered Mini problems eh..

In terms of length, depends on your rev range, and where peak power is, helmholtz calculation...
