Since I am very old and have a good memory, I have seen those a long time ago. It was an original aftermarket accessory. It may even have pre-dated the Elf/Hornet and given some BMC stylist the inspiration, but I can't prove it. (I don't believe that Alec had anything to do with the Elf/Hornet, definitely a stylist rather than an engineer.)  I did laugh at the time, when I saw them advertised, but I am somewhat disappointed that you guys were not all bidding for it. I hope it has gone to a good home. These bits of eccentricity were once part of the Mini scene and should be preserved.

 

I would still laugh if I saw one. Maybe even if I had bought it myself. But surely it has to beat flip fronts, slamming or furry dice?
