RTVs are gasket Makers and products like Hylamar Blue and Permatex No 3 are used for gasket Dressing

Just out in the garage and remembered this thread.
I used to use Hylomar but never really liked it. After some digging I switched to Loctite 5922. It's horribly sticky and smells like toxic waste but I've found on both cars and bikes, paper and rubber gaskets, it just works better. Less mess (wear gloves!) and less/no leaks.

Threebond 1184. Apparently... it is Yamabond/Ducatibond under another name.
