Evening,

Well Mr Police man stopped me a few nights ago (well i say stopped flashed his light while i was going into the drive) to tell me that my passenger side headlight was only on side light not dipped beam. noticed it worked on high beam and sideligh but not dipped so i need a new bulb!

WHICH is were i become confused. do i need a new bulb or a whole light thingy. i looked on mini spares and all they sell are what look like whole new lights. i just want a bulb or do i need thw whole thing?

Before jumping to conclusions, could well be a loose connection, i used to have lighting problems all the time, read this thread. Hope that helps.

get a wipac halogen converstion kit if u have sealed beam headlamps, then u will have lights rather than candles in the wind for headlamps

as above if you have to replace a head light then go for a halogen converstion

There's a set of wipac's on ebay but if they end up cheap, you'll likely be bidding against me...

so go for halogen ones then is prob the best idea. have to scrape some pennys together then. But will try your idea 1st Alex man,

this is well quite a newbie question......but does the dim (sidelamp?) light two bulbs or one bulb (the right one)?

i remember my father's escort lit only one side
