To be honest I didn't expect anyone to take much notice of what I said, it was just me being a grumpy old man, and I do totally understand what you say Garagiste, and not only am I not offended by them but I agree in parts.
A thread on this subject should be put in the FAQ section, but have you seen that section recently, it would get lost, and I fully understand why people don't bother looking in there, it really could be better organised. This was something that was supposed to happen when the site got a facelift, but that was more complicated than first thought, and since then we've been trying to stave off hackers and viri!! It will be done at some point.
I also can appreciate new members may not realise about searching and the FAQ section. I would like to see a short email sent to new members at the time of registration, just quickly explaining a couple of the rules, showing what goes in each section, and providing a link to the search page!
Unfortunately this all takes time and effort, and unfortunately at times the staff of TMF have trouble getting everything organised for the BH2N run (organising that has already started), a run which has to take precedent over the website since we are taking peoples money and we have to provide good value for money! In the meantime we'll plod on making TMF better for everyone to use (apart from hackers and spammers!!) and hopefully one day no one will have any complaints!
Now, shall we get back to the question in hand. If anyone wants to follow on the above discussion, PM me and I'll split the topic.
