Right then ive got a knocking when i release my accelerator pedal and reverse fast. I think the bushes are buggered on my engine stabalisers or something like that because it sounds like its knocking as the engine tips forward. Am i right in thinking this or could it be something else??

check al the negine steady bushes. could also be the engine mounts.but it could also be the carb knocking on the bulkhead(if it has one) but that could be due to the bushes being worn!!
So yeah check all your bushes out(jammy's fav past time)

check for a crack on the floor plan under the carpets where the subframe mounts to the floor

Check the tear drop mounts on the front of the subframe and the tower mounts. I had a rocking engine for ages and it was because the engine mount rubber had parted from the metal. Tricky to check but worth replacing if they are old.
